A Slice of Joan St. Simone
“She’ll be coming around the mountain when she comes.”
A sentiment that is never far removed from Joan’s mind. The strange and complex mind of Joan St. Simone was formed after a brief stint as a reporter for the Winnapachee Pioneer Press, covering mostly the agriculture beat. A scathing expose on rampant pig abuse, kickbacks, steroids and extortion in the local 4H club led Joan to a series of local awards and a prestigious ribbon from the Oregon Agriculture commission. Never one to rest on her laurels Joan explored her entrepreneurial spirit and branched out into the world of organic cosmetics – developing her own line of eye-shadow, blush and moisturizer.
But Joan missed the vibrant intellectual stimulation and hard-hitting investigative journalism she excelled at back in Winnapachee. And so now ladies and gentlemen we have the privilege of a true professional behind the desk at Tiny Tube – reporting mostly on things that matter to Joan and likely the world.
